Rumors: Apple iPod 6th generation
There are some rumors on the net about 6th generation iPod is prepared in Apple labs, one of main add-ons that will differs it from 5th generation will be full size touch screen, here is some unofficial mock-up pictures that can be found on-line.

Probably its to early to speak about new generation of iPods, till now Apple have constant dynamics presenting new iPods models on one one year basis. These rumors about new generation is likely caused by Apple move to patent new touchscreen Click-wheel areechnology. Apple CEO Steve Jobs alluded to a major announcement on or around April 1, Apple’s 30th anniversary as a company. But we have to have in mind that 5th Generation was released on October last year, and demand is still very high, so in my opinion we will have to wait until next christmas shopping madness to see the heir of current iPod.

All of this nonsense is great and all but if they raise the price myself woill not by the product. That is why i didn’y buy the 4 gig nano and still have my mini
March 2nd, 2006 at 12:08 am
i own an ipod video, and i don’t regret not waiting for the next generation ipod that’ll be coming out soon. if they have a touch screen click wheel i won’t be jealous, i think ipod videos are everything you need. plus fingerprints on the screen how annoying. i think that’d be going too far.
March 3rd, 2006 at 6:33 am
i dont think this 6th generation ipod is very good. i belive this because now a days wiht the old ipods..(5th generation lower) there are problems wiht the screen adn the scratching. if the whole screen become a screen then it would be really dumb b.c the scracting would increse, b.c of the clickwell.
March 3rd, 2006 at 10:43 am
If you’re CAREFUL with the screen, then it won’t scratch. Put it in a case. Maybe they’ll come out with a case that has a full plastic window so you don’t have to actually TOUCH the screen. Or, ya know, don’t use your finger. Maybe it’ll be sensitive enough where you could use a pen cap or a pencil eraser or something, and just scrolling lightly on it….not too much pressure.
March 3rd, 2006 at 3:57 pm
i do agree with you, claire, about the fingerprints, it bothers me when there are scratches and fingerprints on screens like that. i wonder when this new iPod will come out, IF it comes out. i would probably get it, i don’t even have an iPod to begin with, but i believe the 6th generation would be a good place to start. i would get it in black

I have been using my Palm Tungsten C, with RealPlayer (free download)as an MP3 player for almost 2 years now. This device has a color touch screen (large, bright, & beautiful). With the USB port and cradle adding music to the memory card is very simple. Yes - memory card - I have several 1 Gig cards to hold music, meaning capacity is unlimited. Not to mention the Palm is also my mini computer, and has on board WiFi. I surf the net, and down load music to the Palm (Ares P2P). It cost apx $375 ($+/-), which is in line with Apple products. Apple makes a great MP3 player (I was given a shuffle). While they are setting the stage for MP3 players, there are other options that people can/should consder. Don’t simply follow others, and drink the Apple flavored Cool-Aid. Considering other options will cause companies such as Apple, Toshiba, Samsung, RCA, etc… to develope “truly new technology”.
Apple should integrate replaceable memory cards, such as what is used in the hand helds. Then we can simply take the card and insert it into our car radio (that’s a thought) or home sterio system!!!

“Then we can simply take the card and insert it into our car radio (that’s a thought) or home sterio system!!!”
Ew.
How 1980s.
March 8th, 2006 at 4:37 pm
i think that the 6th generation would be fascinating to hold in your hands. yes i do realize that the screen and blah blah blah but if your careful. and you really care about it. it’s not going to scratch. well maybe once in a while but that’s mandatory. they will probably have a case like the guy above me said. and kid with the portable chip or w/e??? yeah definitely 1980’s.
APPLE NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME.
March 8th, 2006 at 9:57 pm
I have to admitt the idea of a 6G ipod video would be awesome, but this completely wrong. I agree with Claire and Nathan the fingerprints would be unavoidable, and the scratches I could only imagine. My real problem with apple is they don’t have a removable batteries. My nano doesn’t hold nearly the charge it use to, and from other sources the previous ipods are suffering from the same problem. Maybe apple will figure it out, or maybe they already have and this is all a money making scheme. But dam does it look cool.
March 9th, 2006 at 10:19 pm
Wow you can never have a new ipod anymore if buy the newest
ipod before you can get it charged new models are poping out.. but thats what makes apple great. but i do think this one is going to be the best ipod yet … nice big screen .. no wasted space.. and they will probably have a new scratch proof screen on it … cant wait for its arrival !!
March 11th, 2006 at 3:24 pm
Why do Apple continue to make ipods with the same unavoidably scratchable material? Most mobile phones that are out now have screens that cant get scratched.I own a Siemens SF65 and the plastic shell and the screen have not one scratch on them,I love the current shiny material the ipods are made out of, but surely there is a way to stop the scratches. I think its about time Apple found a material to use for the shell of the pods’ that dont scratch so easily as its one of the only down points about them.
March 13th, 2006 at 1:10 am
apple should stop makin new ipods. its causin too much problems. I’d rather buy a psp cuz u can watch movies, put music, videos, and GAMES. Thats all the ipod gens put together and MORE!!!
March 13th, 2006 at 8:48 pm
thats fake and if that’s real it will have so many scratches
unless they put a pen or something in the “IPOD” but thats not gonna happen ..:-.-.-_:..
March 14th, 2006 at 2:20 pm
I like the idea of having a touch screen. Dealing with the fingerprints should be tolerable, people just have to realize that it’s no cheap toy and that grabbing it with dirty/greasey paws is your own fault. Everyone that has an iPod Video like mine got theirs all scratched and fingerprinted up already, even though I got mine long before they did. if you cant handle ‘careful care’ for your iPod, then maybe you shouldnt have one; or at least kwitcherbitchin!!!
March 15th, 2006 at 1:36 pm
I think the notion of fingerprints on the screen will be secondary to the issue of battery life. Ipods in general don’t have extraordinary battery life and i’m sure introducing a full size screen to the ipod will increase the ipods power requirements dramatically.
March 16th, 2006 at 5:25 am
Looks like a wonderful piece of work. I’ve been working with the Olympus 500i mp3 player. Its got a colour touch screen and a camera. But it dosent play video and the battery life is hopeless. I jusy hope this one has a good battery life. Ill probably wait for a few weeks to check out reviews on this one.

wow, ur an idiot. ur gonna get scratches and fingerprints no matter wat
March 17th, 2006 at 8:28 pm
That should be the next Ipod 4 shure, that would be the greatest ipod ever. With the sidewayd videos. OMG, i would buy it in black and maybe even in white. For whatever version im in the mood foor. As far as finger prints go, touch screens can be made not to get finger prints. Im shure they would think that, dumbasses. Their alot smarter than u guys, they graduated. ” But.. but … what about finger prints!? ” i mean please, dont be little pusseys.
March 17th, 2006 at 9:08 pm
Yeah, i agree that the ipod doesnt have good battery life. I just got a 60gb video ipod and it can barely stay charged for 4 hours just listening to music. i dont think the 6th gen will be much better. Anyways i like the design of the 6th gen, and i will probably end up getting it anywayz.
March 18th, 2006 at 2:07 pm
I believe they should start making the ipod for the “common man” The common man is a guy that sometimes drops things, scratches things, puts fingerprints, and etc…I think they should keep the idea they have for the 6th generation(if that is the way its going to look)but make it so that it is very hard to put scratches and fingerprints, I really wish they could do this because everybody would be a lot more grateful for, espeacially me who has a scratched up ipod. But very cool idea though, and Apple if you are listening, Please try to do that for me and for all ipod users in the future! Thanks everybody, peace

“apple should stop makin new ipods. its causin too much problems. I’d rather buy a psp cuz u can watch movies, put music, videos, and GAMES. Thats all the ipod gens put together and MORE!!!”
Man are you dumb. The PSP memory cards go up to a maximum of 1 gig. 5th generation iPod = 30/60 gigs; no memory card necessary. Do you have any idea what you’re talking about?
March 24th, 2006 at 11:10 am
I agree with Masna. The memory on the PSP sucks. Even if you get the Giga pack that comes with a 32mb stick…whats that like 8 songs?! They have made a 4 gig hard drive for it now but the damn thing costs more than the PSP itself! And the only way to completely enjoy the PSP’s media capabilities is to buy this or just buy a crapload of memory sticks. And after that you have spent a lot more money than you should.
March 27th, 2006 at 3:00 am
My biggest concern for the 6G ipod would be battery life. I have the 60 gig 5G ipod, and it will play for 18-20 hours straight, so long as I don’t touch it. When I play movies, games or frequestly adjust volume, song position ect, it eats up the battery quick. I can only imagine the power a full face, color touch screen would eat up.

the giga pack comes with a 1 gig card dats why its called the GIGA pack and they canb hold watever u put in them mine currently has a 2 gb card and honestly with the internet and gaming power, for many people the psp by far outclasses the ipod. also the battery is removable and last for much longer
July 5th, 2006 at 7:30 pm
O.K…sorry..but PSP’s freakin suck. Their battery life is not much better than Ipods and the memory is just crap. I think that the 6th Gen. is going to be alright..just like previous Ipods. Hopefully though, Apple will put their minds to creating longer battery life or anti-scratch products rather than larger memory.

Dude!! wth are u guys talking about! This is a page based on the next gen. ipod! But you can’t talk trash about psp’s. It’s not true that you can only get a 1 gb card. I got a 2 gb card about 1 year ago. And now they have 4gb cards for less than $100 @ ebay. I have 6 movies and 6 cds, and pics and extra memory w/ my 2 gig card. Plus surfing the internet and downloading stuff at hotspots is sweet! don’t hate on psp’s unless u’ve played one
July 25th, 2006 at 2:07 pm
PSP is the dumbest creation of all time MEMORY sucks and after you buy it, u end up paying more than its cost on accesseries, memory and cd games. IPODS are by far better, though i dont like compareing cuz Ipods are plain media players, and PSP’s are plainly for gaims even though u can play music and videos on them THE SPACE JUST KILLS U. IPODS are smaller they fit into ur pockets easily, less wieghted, and i love the controls of the ipod 1 hand does the job, u dont have to place both hands just to play an mp3. Ok im gana stop comparing cuz its usless. O and for u guys who use the internet on the PSP ……WHAT IS SOOO COOOL ABOUT USING INTERNET ON SUCH A SMALL SCREEN WITH THE MOST ANNOYING CONTROLS.

Interesting Idea, it looks really cool. However, what will be the point having a widescreen of there is not enough storage capacity to store a reasonable quantity of good quality widescreen video? Judging by the fact that it looks more like the current nano, i could not imagine that it would have the capacity to hold the entire King Kong movie.
Scratches and fingerprints aside, because these things can be remedied with a screen protector which i use on my 4GB nano, what i would be worried about is screen cracking. With the current ipod nano, since there is no interaction with the screen directly, they can afford to put a thick clear “armour” over it which makes it all but indestructable, however, when you have a touch screen, you cannot have this because it is pressure sensitive, therefore the screen will be suceptible to cracks, unless they have come up with a new technology which alows the sceen to be indestructably hard but still pressure sensitive.
August 28th, 2006 at 7:34 pm
Wow the new iPod looks sweet! I don’t own an iPod currently, but I’m going to buy one when the 6th gen. come out. The full size touch screen looks great. I think Apple is going to use scratch proof screen this time because the new ones will scrach like hell with the touchscreen.
I also hope Apple fixs the battery life probably with this generation.
August 29th, 2006 at 9:25 pm
u can buy screen protectors for these things for about a dollor i have one on my 5g it is like a palm pilot all u have to do is change the protector every month
August 31st, 2006 at 7:25 pm
these pics are indeed fake. take a look at the stock photos on the 5g. the shading and lighting are identical. i can’t say if the rumours are true or false but these pics are.
September 1st, 2006 at 3:52 pm
Here’s an idea- Knock the crap off about scratches or fingerprints and get down to the real business. We’ll all most likely get this ipod or one to come out in the future anyways. (Its the wave of music and videos) However- before I buy one, I suggest that Apple starts creating Ipods that don’t freeze or break down right as the warranty approaches expiration. We already pay almost $400 for these things, and 3/4 of them freeze or crash within the first year of owning.
September 2nd, 2006 at 7:42 am
agreed:
*apple are cheapskates with the crashin and freezing
*the images are fake
*we will all buy one anyway
*and of course PSPs do, in fact, suck.
September 2nd, 2006 at 7:54 am
hey sorry bout double post…
what I am worried about is the way one hold this 6g.
the traditional way is to have your thumbs over the sides, ready to use the click wheel AND to secure it in a veichle etc.
How does one hold it firmly and watch a video without his/her fingers blocking the large screen? The edges are much too small.
I am also puzzled by the images because i have seen some mates of mine with “Japanese iPods”
These iPods have full colour themes plus features such as radio and voice recroder.
Not that I am picky with petty features like calculators and suck, but I do wonder why they would not meet the standars of technology already becoming (as pathetic as the idea of challenging Apple is) minor competition.

the 5th gen ipod holds 60gb and the king kong moive is at most 2gb, you do the math stupid! a video being in widescreen doesnt even matter
September 26th, 2006 at 1:05 pm
Rafael first of all apple justcame out with the 100 gb hard drive for the ipod. second of all you would probably need to convert video so the size of it will go down. there fore it would prob be 1 gb out of a 100.
September 27th, 2006 at 6:27 pm
Ok, you guys need to learn something, in not here to brag, but the PSP™ is waaaaaaaay better then the ipod. Im going to list a FEW reasons why the psp is better…
1. The ipod have games like solitaire, brick, and other oldschool games, the psp has many awsome new games out there.
2. Have any of you relized the Resemblance, that the 6G ipod, if its true, has the same screen as the psp, wow it has a touch screen scroller, who cares, ever thought of this…your watching a movie, and you want to fast forward, or turn up the volume, but the scroller is on the screen, so you miss parts of the movie, and its akward because you cant hold it, each time you go to do something your hand would cover up the screen. stupid idea, and the psp ALREADY has an widescreen and it wont fucking cost more then a wide screen for my home.
3. The ipod is just for music and movies. The psp is for EVERYTHING, seriously, go to google or ask.com and search homebrew, there are TONS of nes, snes, ps1, cpu, homemade, sega genesis games that you can put on your psp, there is also internet, games, movies, photos, and you can get programs like calculator, weather, word, and many other usefull programs.
4. I bet you the 6G will come out in like a 200GB for like 1,000 dollars, YOU THE FUCK NEED THAT MUCH STORAGE! HONESTLY! IF YOU LISTEN TO THAT MUCH MUSIC AND WATCH THAT MUCH MOVIES THEN YOU HAVE NO FUCKING LIFE,YOU WASTED MONEY,AND YOU WASTED YOUR LIFE! im fine with 4GB for my psp, and its cheap dumbfucks.
5. The psp costs 250 and 200, the new ipods are going to cost hella’ lots.
6. I could do this all day but i think you get the point.
(buy a psp)
October 23rd, 2006 at 6:21 pm
the new ipod sucks. come on. ipods r way 2 easy 2 scratch, imagine a whole screen 2 scatch. a case wouldnt allow u 2 use the touch screen. how stupid.
November 12th, 2006 at 8:24 am
Have trouble with scrathing screens? buy a screen protector. invisibleSHEILD…#1 and DLO caries a scratch care kit. works great.
November 26th, 2006 at 2:16 am
You peoples are the biggest fools. Of course they dont make the screens unscratchable, they want you all to buy the merchandice and protectors for it so they can get even more money. It’s all about money people!
November 28th, 2006 at 6:46 pm
hmm…I was going to get a new 30GB ipod video for christmas, but now I dont know if I should wait for the 6th generation ipod. So help me out here and tell me what you all think.
November 30th, 2006 at 3:16 am
You are being utterly stupid about the screen
Have you never used a Tom Tom - thats touch screen i dont hear anyone complaining about the scratches or not being able to see the display
The screen will just be of a different type - they are not going to use the same one as currently cuz as you hav all written about it will scratch to easily
A touchscreen ipod will in my opinion be immense
December 7th, 2006 at 9:59 am
I have to say a touch screen would be nice and I’m pretty Apple would probably put a scratch proof coating over the screen or do something else to make it scratch proof. I still think that apple should make a slot on ipods so that way you can replace batteries after they’ve gone to a better place or to just switch batteries when the first one is starting to run low so that way you can continue to enjoy your movie/music/game/whatever. Also, I like the metal casing because I loved the iPod Mini and I love my new 2nd Gen. Shuffle. I’ve dropped the shuffle on rough cement, picked it up and listened to it. There wasn’t a single mark on the iPod. My girlfriend dropped her Mini and did the same thing. Metal cases are amazing.
December 7th, 2006 at 12:18 pm
IMO - all these rants about the screen etc. are compeletly idiotic. Its just the same as critics of the Mighty Mouse - that the left and right buttons will feel weird etc - so far the mouse works fine for me and i only hear about compeletly different issues. Every single Apple product is well thought out, and simple (i never heard of an ipod having mechanical breaks which are the worst in fixing) When theyll come out with new iPods - im sure they will be well thought through. Not to mention that the iPod on the image is nothing official or even partly official - its just our ametour idea. While Apple has payed Industrial design proffesionals working on every smallest problem that could happen…
Widescreen iPod - pretty CRAZY

i luv ipods… they are awesome but battery really sucks…. im gettin1 4 christmas in 2006 and i cant wait but i gotta find scratch proof protection cause they scratch like shit….. well even that no 1 can resist… this is the generation of ipods and its gonna b for a while now… and i really think that pic of da 6th generation ipod is so F**king fake…..
December 25th, 2006 at 2:55 pm
Everyone is so worried about fingerprints and scratching. That is not a problem with my 5th gen ipod becuase i have a full body protector on my iPod and its the best every you can’t scratch it or anything and it keeps the original look of the iPod doesn’t even look like anything was added to it. If anyone is interested go to http://www.shieldzone.com. this is the best ipod protector out there and it would most definitely would be the perfect solution to the full screen iPod. I think its an amazing idea and can’t wait for it to come out.
December 27th, 2006 at 12:15 am
ipods are so over rated.
psp’s are the way to go.
limitless songs, games, movies, internet.
If you dont like all those things then i guess they do “suck”.
Ipod has just songs tho :-/
January 4th, 2007 at 7:55 pm
dude psp’s shuldnt even be talked about here…its about the ipod 6G psp’ are for games and all that shiz….for non-video game freaks like me all i need is music and a couple of movies and tv shows on my ipod….i just got my new ipod video and i already filled it past what a psp could hold…i dont need to sit there playing videogames on a 2-inch screen all day…and duh of course the games on the ipod suck cuz ipods arent made for games…the new ipod looks cool but the pics are prob fake…on youtube theres a video on how they could make the pic fake…scratches prob wont be a problem cuz apple would come out with a screen for it but they would charge another ridiculous price for it like they do with everything else…and maybe i sound like an idiot for sayin this but maybe the touch screen would be motion sensitive so you wouldnt even have to touch the screen….
January 5th, 2007 at 2:35 pm
Ok.
#1. I trust apple to make a good product no mater what. Whether or not these pics are fake, they will do a god job with it.
#2. Ipods are for digital media, mp3s, and mp4s, Psp’s are for games, not this post!!! NO COMPARASON
#3. it is not even far off to think that they could make no-touch capability, or relocate the controlles.
#4. Apple is innovative and minnimallist, so it is most likley they would design a small second layer to the screen (assuming this pic is real)
#5. Some of you are making no sense, so here is a good rule to follow
IF YOU HAVE NOTHING INTELLIGENT TO CONTRIBUTE, DON’T!!!!!
*and if you hate ipods, why are you here??
January 7th, 2007 at 11:56 pm

wow, ur an idiot. ur gonna get scratches and fingerprints no matter wat
“your the idiot i have had a 5th gen 30 gig sense they came out and all i have is maybe 10 little pen type scratches on the back of mine from sliding it across a desk the first night i had it(none on the face whatsoever)so i bought a case and that is where it stays the majority of the time but remember to keep ypur case clean because little pieces of dirt will get inside the case and the scratches would be even worse……..

iPhone is here… read it more on PreviewGadgets.com

I want the next generation of ipods to be colored, like the nano and the new shuffles. I don’t really care if it’s touch screen, because its the wheel that really distinguishes ipods. Now, it’s a great idea, but it’s about time they make an ipod with a color/video screen, more then 4GB storage, larger then a nano & in different colors.
February 10th, 2007 at 11:37 pm
god all of u dat say dat the screen will get f’d up are all a bunch of morons..apple would make it another type of material dont be wankers
theyd prob make it lcd or some dont be gdam morons
February 14th, 2007 at 6:24 pm
People, the touch screen is a very high possiblity. All of you who say that it will be scratched have forgotten something, touch screens have been around for a while! If they got scratched, to you think that anyone would buy palm pilots, pda’s or tablet computers? Think people, please, think before you post some stupid comment about how no one will want a touch screen because it is scratched!
February 19th, 2007 at 4:34 am
The screen would CLEARLY have scratch resistant quality’s. Get over it now.
February 26th, 2007 at 5:57 pm
Wow, This is supposed to be about iPods not PSPs, if you’d rather talk about PSPs, then go find a PSP forum.
February 26th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
And also, the battery on an iPod is fine unless you’re watching a video
February 28th, 2007 at 9:19 pm
First of all, people who have a problem with a scratch screen, buy applesauce. it fixes any scratches.
Second, apple will not make an iPod with an easly replaceable battery or one with a half decent battery life, because apple will want you to buy a new one, and you will have to go throught them to replace it.
Thridly, apple will probably just use the same screen as all the other touch screen devices out.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:59 am

ok everyone the pictures are speculation.
I feel that with the comming out of the terabyte drive from hitachi the new 6th generation i pod will be able to hole upwards to about 100 gigs and keep relativly the same size that the 5 generation is currently. since the anouncement of the iphone and its use of a multi touch interface i feel that this will soule contribute to how the new 6th generations interface is concived. if the i phones interface turns out to be a success then were most likly going to be seeing it on the 6th generation. i can also see that the new ipod would have wirless capabilities mostly to combat the zunes wireless file shareing. but with the apple version i can see an actually web browsing/ file sharing platform, that could also have a direct link to the apple store allowing you to buy music directly to your ipod. but with this the battery life may be compromised, but with recent advancments in battery tec and managment software i can see the new i pod having relitivly the same battery life if not greater. as far as scratch resistent screens go i think aplle is going to find a scratch resistant polymer that can handle the extra finger trafic. i can’t see apple integrating a camera into the 6th generation but possible in the 7th i think that if apple was to start adding to much to the device it would basically be an iphone with more space.

OK people I wanted to buy the 5th generation ipod but now I think I should wait for the 6th gen.

K basic reasons not to get the 6th generation ipod.
1)Your finger prints are going to get all over the screen since the screen is so big and the touch wheel is on the screen.
2)Also when your watching a movie, where are you going to be able to grab onto the ipod so that its not going to cover up part of the screen.
3)Also in all previous generations, the ipod gets scratched like crazy, so just think about having to worry about a full screen ipod getting scratched!
4) There are tons of products out there that are better then the ipod like the PSP, and that new windows MP3 player thing. The PSP you can play games on it, watch movies, and listen to music. You also have little memory cards you can put in it so you have an unlimited amount of memory. The one feature I like about the microsoft MP3 player is that you can customize backgrounds so its not just the dull old white background that the ipod has. thats lameo. Also the screen is huge!

I really like the touch screen idea, it makes a change from the other ipods. I agree that the ipods can scratch really easily as mine (5th generation) has but that was only when i stoppped using my case so i think as long as apple bring out a protactive case for it, it shouldn’t scratch. And besides the whole scratch, fingerprint problem it looks alot better than the 5th generation so i will definately be buying it in black when it comes out.

it better have some new games, the ones that are out now are getting pretty old!!

I no!
y doesn’t apple borrow some of that stuff they use for blu ray disks that make them scratch resistant (because they r thinner and the data is closer to the edge) i don’t no if they can do that but it might work!!!
I realize this is an old post but this is kinda how the iPhone turned out

the full touch screen will pose no problem for scratches while it may affect the battery life unless Apple improves it which I’m shure that they will. if you take the measures nescessary to protect the screen it will be fine. If you spend probably over $500 on this product, then there is no sense in neglecting it and letting the screen be scratched. If it is a touch screen, it is designed to be touched, therefore it will be scratch resistant. It would be idiotic to design it otherwise.

I hate to plug a company, but the invisible shield is the best thing out there for an ipod. Resists just about anything, it’s clear and flexible, cheap-ish, fingerprints wipe off of it easily…

apple owns when it comes to interfaces. Personally i dont mind the scratches, and SONY’S PSP IS CRAP. wtf is wrong with ppl. flash memory?! lmao

this wide screen design looks sexyyy.
i’ll wait for this fall for the second generation zune to come out and do some comparing before kicking my *coughcoughhugezune* and get this baby
but wi fi rocks! i just wish i can wipe my camera’s flash on it like the ipods can

I love the idea of the touch screen 6th generation ipod, but like all of you guys i am worried about the scratchs and the fingerprints that will be on the screen from the clicker. I also like the wide screen idea too, will make the videos much clearer. OH YAH, if da new ipod is gonna be more expensive dan 5th generation den im not buying, it will be a waste.
AND PSP ROCKS DUDE, ITS WAYY BETTER WAIT TILL DA NEW ONE COMES OUT :D!!!! (MAYBE WITH A HARD DRIVE :P)

yah yah, ipods are great, REAL great. Way better than mp3’s, but there is one thing i dont like about them and thats copygin the music. Lets say u want songs from another ipod, but u cant copy the songs from that ipod to ur music library. If you do want to, there is software u hae to buy, but that just ruins it. I really hope that Apple will somehow fix this problem that wont COST us anything money.

when is this coming out! im about to go buy an ipod 5th gen should i do it? or wait? will it come out b4 christmas or aroudn that time, cause then i guess i would be better off with the 5th gen for right now.
May 29th, 2007 at 11:50 pm
that’s kinda screwed, it covers the screen even while watching videos
June 12th, 2007 at 1:01 pm
I just wanted to ask how much will it cost??????????

PSP’s are pretty much DISGUSTING! iPods are way better, and even though PSPs play games, all the titles are horrible. I will forever play a Nintendo DS and listen to music on my iPod. (and watch videos on it, too!)
About the 6th Gen, i like this idea, but yeah scratches will be a problem. My 5th gen is very much scratched on the back ( its so hard not to get a little scratch on it.) i hope the back of these and the phone dont scratch as easily. other than this i cant figure another way to make a new ipod. but maybe the one they have is good enough. o.0. just needs to be slightly thinner. the 80gb is mad LARGE! PEACE

But now, with the so called 6th generation ipod, more scratches would occur on the screen. I don’t know but that’s pretty impractical. I mean i like things in mint condition and since its touch screen how can you get a case for it?

what would be the point of a touch click wheel anymore when the screen can be a touch screen thanks to the iphone?

I think that this is one of the most possible electronic rumor i have heard about in a long time.
I mean okay the complete touchscreen is totally possible after the iphone’s succesful release using the touchscreen.
next, apple released a new revamped line of the video, nano, and shuffle last year on september 12th and with apple releasin a photo of what looks like a widescreen version of coverflow with a picture of a shadow with an ipod saying the beat goes on which is advertising for a very huge event for apple on september 5th exactly one week early of what could be the release date of a new line of ipods exactly one year after last years new line was released and one week is plenty of enough time for apple to ship out there ipods to all apple stores n most retailers around the us.
also, almost all if not all of the videos that are released on itunes are released in widescreen n a widescreen ipod would be perfect n much better to watch videos on then the current 5th generation.
and lastly, about 6 to 8 months ago i remember seing on g4 n on many sites that toshiba the current maker of the ipod hard drives had made a 100 gb hard drive the same size of the current 80 gb hard drive in the 5th generation video which would lead me to believe that this would point to bein in the next generation of the ipod n would be perfect amount of memory for alot of people who would definately prefer to bring there favorite movies with them and seasons of television shows especially since all of these things take up so much of memory for the hardcore movie fanatics n video fanatics this would be perfect.
After myself thinkin of all of these things i have come to the conclusion that this rumor is very possible n most likely will happen.
but only time and apple will tell.
