Product Analysis

The overall appearance is quite nice. The mesh gives the plastic a nice carbon-graphite-like appearance, which adds to the professionalism of the product. Product styling is great advantage of this speakers, and Logitech has done very good job.

The speakers can be moved from their bases to allow for wall mounting. This is nice for those who don’t have much space at the desk. Main speakers have dual drivers. The satellites are heart of Frequency Directed Dual Driver Technology. The front right speaker have main controls, such as volume knob, power button, and a headphones jack. Volume control is very sensitively, and very accessible.



Performance
Music reproduction is very very good. The “hiss” induced by the system is extremely low. A system with very low hiss levels is important and makes listening at low volume levels a pleasure. The subbuffer frequencies are about 40 Hz. The subbuffer can produce exaggerated bass or nice mellow sound. Musical instruments, even the ones like bass guitar, performed exactly the way they should. This is fairly amazing considering the small size and volume of the unit.

The satelites reproduce highs in an appropriate manner and do a decent job with mid frequencies. Overall the music experience was superb with the X-230 speaker system.

X-230 is great 2.1 system for low price range. Frequency Directed Dual Driver (FDD) Technology does an excellent job of reproducing music and the system works rather well for casual gaming. Overall sound quality is impressive and the subwoofer performs incredibly well, producing large amounts of bass if desired while enhancing music and the gaming experience.
