Rumors that world largest mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, is preparing new Android powered touchscreen phone are getting louder and louder. This kind of news even got up to the British Guardian, which quotes anonymous “industry insiders” who’s claiming that Nokia will reveal an Android powered touchscreen mobile phone in the fourth quarter.

Nokia is not the part of the Open Headset Alliance code, that supports Android OS for mobile devices, but still there is a growning complains about Symbian OS on Nokia touchscreen headsets. S60 Symbian is just not up to that task, it’s perfect for the older generation of the smart phones with qwerty keyboards

or/and regular phone keyboards. But still S60 interface is getting quite bad feedback from users who are using it on touchscreen devices. Embracing new open standard Android could be rather good business move, rather then adapting old S60 interface to support touchscreen interaction.

If those rumors are true, in Q4 we will see new Android powered Nokia, personally I can’t wait.

Few days ago HTC has revealed their flagship – HTC Touch Diamond. HTC Touch is using HTC inovative 3D touch interface – HTC is calling it TouchFLO 3D – which is quite simillar to the version of OS X thats iPhone is running.

New HTC diamond is just a bit smaller and lighter then the iPhone, that is not so strange considering that it uses smaller LCD 2.8 inch diagonal, comparing to the iPhones 3.5 inch.

When you take a look at the HTC Diamond, steel caseng with faceted edges, mmmm, same reaction like I had take iPhone for the first time in my hand.

In that beautiful case HTC engineers has managed to pack all kind of features. Digital camera with 3.2 sensor resolution and auto-focus. 4GB of internal memory comes handy for all music and videos that you want to store. Bluethoot 2.0 is allowing you to use some wireless stereo headphones, there is also a wireless 802.11 b/g adapter built in.

And that is not all but there was a place for GPS also, just to remember you that this device is a bit smaller and lighter then the iPhone, just amazing.

HTC TouchFLO 3D interface is based on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, so portabiliy is not a problem.

The HTC Touch Diamond will be available in Europe in June, in Asia a bit latter, while USA customers will have to wait to the last quarter of the year for this Diamond.

For those who hate to carry around large amounts of electronics there is some relief in sight. Samsung is releasing their new Pocket PC phone and it is a true beauty that is powerful and extremely light weight. The Samsung i760 Pocket PC phone is bringing together a full QWERTY keyboard combined with Windows Mobile 5, which leaves you with a very powerful and equipped phone that fits into your hand.

While the Blackberry and other companies are also offering smart phones and Pocket PC phones, the options are much larger, heavier and bulkier. Not exactly designed to fit into a pocket for easy transportation. The Samsung i760 on the other hand is small enough to easily fit into any pocket at a slim 4 ounces, which translates into a sleek 119g. This leaves the Samsung i760 coming in much smaller than most other phones on the market today, yet still more powerful.

For those who really cannot stand the idea of a phone without a camera, there is no worries a small 2MP camera is included, and while there are other phones with better cameras it is a respectable option that provides for ample picture opportunities. Giving the range of options, even more power the Samsung i760 brings together 802.11g Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth 2.0 to offer you the maximum choices available for wireless access. The screen is a bright, clear and amazing 2.8” touch screen that gives you plenty of room to see what you are doing, and quickly and easily maneuver around the phone. Overall, this is a very powerful option and with a 520Mhz CPU from Intel included you are hard pressed to find a comparable phone for the same price in the same sleek and small size.

One of the disappointments is the phone uses a microSD slot for expansion purposes which is not as widely used as the SD or even miniSD, but this is a small price to pay for the other options given. With a respectable Triband set up, this is perfect for traveling anywhere in the world and keeping up with all of your information in a whole new way.

While most smart phones are, getting smarter most do not readily offer Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0, which makes it so simple to really garner the full potential of your smart phone. In the world of smart phones, the Asus P526 smart phone is one of the best options for those who are more interested in a smart phone rather than an iPod on steroids.

The camera on the Asus P526 is the standard sized 2MP with a 2.6” touch screen area to work with. The good news for those who hate fully touch screen phones is the phone also has a standard keypad that can be used. However, for sending massive amounts of text messages or e-mails then the phone is lacking a QWERTY keyboard to make it much easier to send the mail faster.

Overall, the screen is impressive. Clear and sharp with over 65,000 colors it provides nice and clear graphics to make navigation easy. While the camera is only 2 MP the video from the camcorder functions and the pictures from the still camera still look very impressive on the screen. This is definitely a great phone and with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 included it is also ready for those who are looking for a great phone with a ton of features.

The quad band phone is also able to hop around with you no matter where you go, and the GPS integrated helps ensure you can find where you are going quickly and easily without many hassles. The sleek design of the phone is stylish, but not overly impressive. While not as impressive looking as some other smart phones it does not look cheap or shoddily made. For someone who wants more pizzazz in the look of the phone the Asus P526 may be a bit of a letdown.

The benefits of being able to sync the phone to your normal Outlook has many people especially excited because of the ability to take important messages with you, and stay up to date on important events. The EDGE also helps ensure that you are able to push the messages as quickly as possible. Overall, this is a great little phone that is sure to win the hearts of the smart phone crowd rather quickly. While a few features are lacking, this phone is a great overall package with few major flaws.

Let us face it very few phones can compare overall to the sleek and stylish features that Apple has packed into the iPhone. However, the Samsung F700 has been called the iPhone killer for several reasons and it seems as if some of these reasons may well be justified. The sleek little phone has several great features that even the iPhone does not have. However, while Samsung may have created a sweet little phone here, there are a few key features that iPhone lovers have all noticed are either lacking or missing in the Samsung F700 – iPhone killer. While the iPhone has people, drooling over the nicely sized 3.5” touch screen the Samsung F700 is only giving users a little less than 3” coming in with a 2.78” screen. Still nothing to sneeze at, but if your trying to watch or read something that small difference can have a huge impact on visibility. Another feature that the Samsung F700 wins though is the nice little slide out QWERTY keyboard that is included. While the lovers of the iPhone are having to hunt and peck their way around the touch screen the QWERTY keyboard on the Samsung F700 makes life much easier for the text and e-mail addicts of the world.

Another negative downside for the Samsung F700 is the lack of major onboard memory. While the iPhone is offering a huge 8GB of flash drive space. This is one massive hit that the Samsung F700 really cannot compete with. Users who adore the space that the iPhone offers are not going to be overly thrilled with the lack on flash drive space on the Samsung F700.

Samsung has to its credit ensured that the F700 is very video friendly handling formats ranging from the simple MP3’s to the more advanced MPEG4 to give the best media experience possible. As an alternative to the iPhone, this phone is a definite. The best part is the phone is able to use the EDGE and other super speeds for the data connections, which makes it a dream for those who need to shove through tons of e-mails for business needs. Between the QWERTY keyboard and the super fast speeds to send them, this phone is definitely designed for businesses.

Individuals as well will love the phone, but from a practical standpoint, this is definitely a great business phone. While the iPhone does offer a slightly larger touch screen this great little phone is still small and lightweight enough to go anywhere, and with the wide range of functions including the 5MP camera that is included you can handle all of your needs while you are away from the office. I would definitely think that the Samsung F700 iPhone killer is the closest competition Apple’s iPhone has right now.

This is definitely a great little phone wrapped up into a tiny little package that is amazingly powerful and designed to help you accomplish as much as possible, in the least amount of time possible. This sleek little phone packs a lot of power into the small space cramming in a 3.2MP camera, Wi-Fi, Symbian 9.1, and a 2.6” display to use with the stylus that is included.

Oh wait, that is not all this phone packs in. There is also the QWERTY keyboard, Opera 8 for surfing the internet, Stereo Bluetooth, and a MicroSD slot to expand the memory capacity even further. Add on top of this the 160MB of internal memory and the awesome ability to push e-mails through BlackBerry Connect and you are looking at a great phone. While the phone certainly is not designed to be the ultimate in media experiences, this phone is definitely designed to pack a powerful productivity punch into the small package.

The phone is a solid handheld, with no moving pieces other than the removable stylus. This means there is less moving parts that can possibly break. No sliding keyboards or even a flip.
While other phones may look flashier, this phone is certainly a great phone to consider. For a smart phone, this is one of the best options that is available on the market today in a versatile phone with the features that this phone packs into the size for the same amount of money. While Sony has always been known for great products, this phone certainly holds the bar high and fulfills high expectations.

Can you imagine a world where a cellular phone is able to integrate into the normal PBX system that your business is running. Imagine the cost benefits, the advantages for routing calls, and the increased productivity of no longer having to play telephone tag with clients just to handle a few small issues. The Nokia E51 has come to answer that dream. No longer is this just simply a daydream that seems impossible. The Nokia E51 aims to allow you to easily and quickly integrate your phone into the existing PBX for your business with as little hassle as possible and help you stay on top of things with a smooth and easy to operate phone. While many smart phones are a pain to set up and use, the Nokia E51 is designed to be as simple to set up and use as possible which really is a huge help if you are unsure about what you are doing, or if you are looking for a first time smart phone. Features such as the one-touch keys that give you access to the applications you need the most are huge time savers that are customized for each individual so you never have to worry about maneuvering your way around the phone, instead you can adjust the phone to your needs.

Another huge benefit is the e-mail key on the front of the phone itself. This alerts you to new e-mail messages and even helps you preview the messages to see what is important, and what can wait. With Nokia’s Intellisync Wireless e-mail service this is truly a phone that is designed to help businesses find a great way to integrate all of their telephone needs into one smart little package that can handle almost anything.

Add on top a sweet little FM radio, and a media player and you have a small little entertainment piece right available wherever you go. Want more features? Of course, you are getting a nice little 2MP camera that is standard for the smart phones, tossed in on top is the Nokia browser that helps you get online and use some of the Windows Live services such as Messenger and Hotmail. No longer does a smart phone have to be complicated to handle your needs; this simple phone is a great affordable option that can handle so many needs all wrapped into one nifty little device.

Everyone knew HP certainly was not going to stay out of the smart phone business. There is by far way too much money in the smart phone business for any major business to pass up the field. HP’s newest answer is the HP iPaq 510 Voice Messenger. This phone is definitely a step in the right direction for HP and has several great features that are amazing and quite functional.

With Windows Mobile 6.0 operating on the phone and the ability to synchronize Outlook and the other great Microsoft Office Mobile tools there are plenty of ways this phone will help you stay organized and productive. Additionally the phone is designed to work heavily with voice commands that allows it to be quite functional and easy to use.

The phone also has the capability of Wi-Fi a feature that allows it to even plug into a VoiP network to reduce cellular time with the right service. In addition it also boasts a camera, thought the camera is coming in at a very tiny 1.3MP, much lower than most comparable phones that have normally 2MP and higher. While the voice commands and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 are great features, the phone does have a few downsides as well.

The speakerphone function of the HP iPaq 510 Voice Messenger has been called bad by numerous standards with very poor call quality on speaker. Another problem with the phone is the lack of keyboard space. The effort to make the screen as large as possible has left the keypad very tiny and hard to use. This is a bad sign for the phone that otherwise boasts the potential to be quite the powerful little phone on the smart phone market.

The resolution of the screen itself is also lacking a bit and gives a slightly blurred and darker picture than many people prefer. For the price range of the phone it is possible to find a better phone, but for those looking towards Windows Mobile 6.0 technology this certainly isn’t a phone to pass over without giving it a good look over in person. With the wide range of features, some of the included features can easily overshadow the missing or flawed features for many users making it a great choice.

If you are in the search for a smart phone, the Palm Treo 700p is the product you should be looking at. It will join you in all your trips offering you quality and the services that you need: phone, wireless email, instant messaging, web browser plus many media capabilities.

The Palm Treo 700p is a small but smart device. It measures 5.08″ x 2.28″ x 0.89″ inches and weighs only 180 grams (6.4 ounces). These are approximately the dimensions of the previous Treos – the 650 and the 700 w, but the Palm Treo 700p presents more features.

The hardware of this small device is a sturdy one, having 312 MHz PXA270 Intel XScale processor. The memory of this toll has been improved and now the 700p includes 128 MB that can be used for internal program memory, of which 60 MB is user-available. Both the internal application memory space: the dbcache and the dbheap were improved and reorganized so that there is more space for data. The dbheap is up to 10 Mb while the db cache is of 18 MB. All these memory boosts were positive steps taken by Palm Treo, making it a firm and trustworthy tool. In addition, you will benefit of the SD/MMC memory expansion slot, the Palm Treo 700p having the FAT 32 support that can take up to 2 GB. The only drawback of the Palm Treo 700p is the fact that it does not support WiFi via an SD card.

The display of the Palm Treo 700p is square, measuring 2″ x 2″ inches. The touch screen display is of 320 x 320 pixels, supporting 65,000 colors. The color saturation is outstanding, the colors being great, while the brightness is good and makes the device viewable in extreme situations also. All these features make the 700p superior to the previous models of Treo smart phones, especially the number of pixels.

The smart phone can be used as a camera also, and can record video footage as well. The digital camera has 1.3 megapixels and the pictures can have the maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024.

All these make the Palm Treo 700p a great smart phone with many advantages and very few disadvantages at a very reasonable price.
