The drury days of black umbrella herds groaning in the rain, scurrying to comfort have changed. –The UMBRELLA has changed.

The simple invention was morphed by Japanese techs into the Pileus WiFi Camera Umbrella. The wireless internet connection enables taking pictures and uploading them to one’s own Flickr account, resulting in a rain-framed display of Flickr photo streams in any weather.

But here comes the most useful part: the built-in GPS system that uses Google Earth for worldwide tracking.

The gadget will be available soon through Sharp Edge, guaranteeing the customer to never sigh in bad weather again.

The idea of stopping and asking for directions anywhere now seems almost as strange as pulling out the old typewriter and writing a good old-fashioned letter to Great Aunt Mildred. Now the technology that is best equipped for the road is things such as the TomTom GO 920, which packs a lot of nifty features into a tiny little package. For those who live to be out driving, rather than stuck on the side of the road trying to read a tiny map this is a lifesaver in a box. Bringing the biggest and most extensive collection of maps together with the satellite navigation features ensures that you will find your destination on time.

Additionally the 400MHz CPU and generous 4GB of internal flash ensures that you are able to do exactly what you want, without waiting forever for the GPS to catch up to what you are doing. Some of the improvements in the unit include adding a nice 5-hour battery that should help you get everywhere without losing power and a nice FM transmitter. For those who want to know about the traffic in the area a RDS-TMC traffic receiver is included as well and is expected to be a hugely popular feature.

The overall benefits of this particular model is the fast processor speed, huge collection of maps, use of Bluetooth as well as a nice Bluetooth remote that can work from all around the vehicle and the big bright 4.3 inch screen. With a pixel display of 480 x 272 this will fit all of your needs quite well and with the TomTom GO 920 being a highly anticipated unit you can expect them to be a bit on the high price and a little hard to find after the initial launch. However, with the features that it packs it is certainly worth the trouble to locate.

Sony presented new gadget for all you urban people out there, GPS gadget allows you to organise and memorise your photos not just by time when they are taken but by place where they are taken.

New Sony GPS-CS1 records time and location for each photo taken, so when you transfer your photos to computer and synchronise with GPS-CS1 it accurately pinpoint each photos on the map.
Sony GPS-CS1 is quite portable device with just 3.5 inches long and weight of just two ounces.
Device is equipped with carabineer which allows you to attach it to a backpack or belt. With no wires no connection to camera, how it works? When you transfer all photos from camera to PC, you have to connect GPS tracker too and then GPS Image Tracker software synchronize all photos to latitude and longitude. After synchronisation you are able to pinpoint photos to any online map ( like Google maps ).
Picture Motion Browser software is bundled with all Sony cameras released after July.
And the this world traveler gadget will be available around September at Sony-Style for not so small price of 150 green bills.

Navigation systems can be very useful in big sites, to avoid traffics and find the shortest way. Navman presents his new series of GPS system. I will focus on iCN720 and iCN750.

They have 4″ LCD display with 480×272 pixels. Like other Navman models iCN720 and iCN750 have five buttons, and most controls are adjusted using icons on the screen. This devices using 2nd Generation SiRFStarIII chip sets. Software suffered lots of changes, and it is different from older models. The ‘List’ menu is replaced by button, to make a good hand of wide screen.

The difference between iCN720 and iCN750 is that lower version iCN720 has region maps only stored in 512MB CF card, whereas the iCN720 has maps with 18 countries stored on 4GB hard drive, so the difference is obviously. Both of them have SD/MMC slot if consumers need more storage space.

Navman iCN 720

NavMan iCN 750

You can get enhanced navigation instructions like in witch direction you should go or where to exit from highway, and all instructions are supported with motorway junctions and road numbers. This models count in miles and yards. They feature the latest GPS technology: the second generation SiRF Star III.
