Canon has announced two totally new telephoto lenses, Canon EF200mm F/2L IS USM and EF800mm F/5.6 L IS USM. First prototypes are going to be presented in a few days on the New Yours PhotoPlus photo equipment fair. As you can notice both lenses are belonging to the prestige Canon’s L ( Luxury ) class, easy recognized by the red ring on the lens barrel and the superior quality.

New EF200mm f/2 L IS USM targets portrait shooting photographers who are looking for brighter lens, as the sports photographers who will know how to appreciate f/2 aperture in while shooting indoor sports.

While the new EF800mm f/5.6 L IS USM is built to overcome current Canon’s flagship the EF600mm f/4L IS USM super telephoto lens. New EF800mm is a response to a growing requests from the news and sport photographers who are demanding superior quality on a longer focal length.

Both lenses are still in the development phase, so there are no informations when they are going to be available in the stores and with what price tag.
