Today, Olympus company has officially released E-520, the successor of the E-510.

Olympus E-520 is more some kind of evolution, then the revolution. Main improvements are adding of contrast auto-focusing system. Also there is a bigger LCD and face detection. Also there are few new features that has came directly for the Olympus’s flagship E-3. Wireless commanding slave flashes, automatic shadow adjustment.

In addition to all those features, dynamic range of the E520 is increased comparing to the E510, so now it’s much closer to the Olympus flagship E-3.

The Olympus E-520 digital SLR – main features:

• Built-in image stabilizer - sensor based - so every lens the you can fit is stabilized
• Autofocus in Live View mode - new Contrast based autofocus
• Excellent dust reduction system - ultrasonic shaking is shaking of the dust from the sensor surface
• 2.7″ HyperCrystal II LCD
• 10 Megapixel Live MOS sensor - sensor has the same resolution as in the previous model, but Oly still claims that the dynamic range is increased
• 3.5fps with up to 8 images in RAW buffer - nice but still slower the the main competitors
• Built-in flash and wireless flash control - in this class only Sony’s DSLR has this kind of option
• ISO 100-1600 - this is the price of using smaller sensor
• TruePic III image processor - next generation of image processor, actually the main improvement

In general, there aren’t too much improvements to force the owners of E-510 to buy the successor, but are enough for E520 to become much seriously competitor on the DSLR market.

Few days ago HTC has revealed their flagship - HTC Touch Diamond. HTC Touch is using HTC inovative 3D touch interface - HTC is calling it TouchFLO 3D - which is quite simillar to the version of OS X thats iPhone is running.

New HTC diamond is just a bit smaller and lighter then the iPhone, that is not so strange considering that it uses smaller LCD 2.8 inch diagonal, comparing to the iPhones 3.5 inch.

When you take a look at the HTC Diamond, steel caseng with faceted edges, mmmm, same reaction like I had take iPhone for the first time in my hand.

In that beautiful case HTC engineers has managed to pack all kind of features. Digital camera with 3.2 sensor resolution and auto-focus. 4GB of internal memory comes handy for all music and videos that you want to store. Bluethoot 2.0 is allowing you to use some wireless stereo headphones, there is also a wireless 802.11 b/g adapter built in.

And that is not all but there was a place for GPS also, just to remember you that this device is a bit smaller and lighter then the iPhone, just amazing.

HTC TouchFLO 3D interface is based on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, so portabiliy is not a problem.

The HTC Touch Diamond will be available in Europe in June, in Asia a bit latter, while USA customers will have to wait to the last quarter of the year for this Diamond.

New Portege M800 is based on Intel T5750 Core 2 duo processor, who’s heart is ticking on 2GHz. Processor is combined with new Intel’s GM965 chip-set, with integrated X3100 graphics adapter.

Up till now you wouldn’t expect that 13 inch laptop can offer full set of features like some bigger models. But M800 is packed. It have a 250GB hard-drive, optical drive ( regular DL DVD writer - no blueray ). Fast enter-net card is a must, wireless also, bluetooth adapter is built in and for extensions there is an Express card slot.

An still, the overall dimensions of the device can be consider compact, 314 x 229 x 35 mm with 1.9 kg.

There are no information about the price of new Toshiba Portege M800, but it will hit the stores in third quarter of this year, so we will see.

Samsung i550 has really impressive specs. Built in GPS module, auto-focus digital camera 3.2 mega-pixels resolution, HSDPA networking and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. All that is pointing that this phone is going to the top self with it’s brothers from Nokia’s N family.

Samsung i550 is based on Symbian software, on S60 3th edition FP1 - that’s Symbian OS 9.2, developed by Nokia for their smart-phones. That version of OS has numerous improvements, new version of S60 Internet browser - who need that when you have that so perfect Opera, Flash support and few good changes on UI.

Like it’s older brother from Nokia N95 it has buitin GPS, and it uses Nokia Maps, or almost any other software to accompany it.

People who will buy this kind of phone usually wants to replace few devices like a digital camera or/and a music player with just one multimedia phone. i550 is making that possible, it has a standard 3.5mm jack so there is no need to buy special headphones, just any regular one that you already have will do. Also the LCD is quite a jewel 2.6 QVGA able to show photos made with that 3.2 mega-pixel camera in over 260.000 colors.

Samsung i550 has a few interesting thing on the phones case, first there is a trackball usually seen only on few PDAs. Also in addition to the standard Symbian buttons, there is an “web” and “gps” key.

In general this is a great phone, with great usability able to compare to the best Nokia smart phone models. Maybe the Nokia will offer a bit more, but Samsung is a bit smaller and cheaper then N95 for example.

Officially sales of iPhone first generation has started in Austria just few mounts ago, but there is possibility that the Austrian market will be training ground for iPhone 3G.

These news are still have not appeared on T-mobile site, but the Fcklog site has stated that they got a comment from T-mobile that they are going to introduce UMTS version ( 3G version ) of iPhone on their network, but still they can not give official announcements.

This kind of scenaro can be quite possible, Austria with their 8 million population has been virtually absorb over 80 000 iPhones in only  2 months of sales. Also another thing that can backup this story is that Austria has one of the best UMTS - 3G network in the world.

It is a bit suspicion that there are no official information about this alleged release of next generation iPhone, but with best 3G network infrastructure and great amount of tourists expected for Europe’s soccer chancellorship, it can be easily be true.

Nokia’s idea was obviously to win the hearts with a blend of the tasteful colors and material. You will hate or adore new 3600 slide, there is no middle.

With recent release of the Nokia 6600 fold, Nokia corporation has reviled another headset with a similar name Nokia 6600 slide.
Nokia 6600 slide is carrying one nice record as the smallest slider ever made by Nokia. Like it’s brother 6600 fold, main design feature of the new 6600 slide is simplicity and sophistication.
It’s glossy steel case cover in combination with aluminum center keys are making this headset totally elegant.
Maybe by the same name you can conclude that the 6600 slide, and 6600 fold has same features, you will be wrong, o so wrong.
